Polifonia third project meeting: celebrating one year of Polifonia and looking forward to 2022
Third plenary presented the great achievements of Polifonia and the plans ahead
On 12-14 of January, the Polifonia third project meeting took place online and brought together the brilliant interdisciplinary team of the Polifonia consortium with its 10 partners. Senior and early career researchers, PhD candidates, software developers, culture heritage specialists among others tuned it to present, listen and react to the wonderful work carried out in Polifonia’s kick-off year. The three-day gathering focused on the Polifonia pilots and the work packages, assessing the progress made so far, the great achievements of last year and preparing for the exciting year ahead.
In 2021, Polifonia has had big results including the Polifonia application demo, the web portal, the Data Management Plan, as well as numerous talks and publications. So, what can we expect from Polifonia’s year two? The work will continue to be process-oriented and collaborative. What is new in 2022 is that the project will experiment with the new format of working groups. This approach will bring together teams of different pilots and work packages focusing on similar/intersecting questions and goals. In this way, the research and design process will be more collaborative and interactive within the different Polifonia teams. Furthermore, Polifonia will organise biweekly webinars on the project’s research topics. More exciting results will come to afore that we will present in workshops co-designed with specific communities as well as other events for the public. For example, Researcher’s Night is going to be a great opportunity to showcase our work and present concrete results of the project. 2022 will be exciting for Polifonia.
