The Netherlands AI Coalition’s working group Culture and Media collaborates with the Working Group Human Capital in their next Communityday – a yearly gathering for professionals working in the culture, media, art and education sector. This year’s line up includes Polifonia.
Data engineer Mari Wigham (Sound & Vision) will join the pitch session of that day – the part of the program that showcases inspiring examples of AI application in the work field. Polifonia’s goals and working methods touch the core theme (Culture for AI & AI for Culture) and the day-theme (Human Capital). Mari will show how Polifonia is a great example of how culture(data) and cultural knowledge can be used to develop and meaningfully deploy AI, and she will demonstrate how to purposefully deploy AI to process cultural data more efficiently and make it more widely available. With AI applied in Polfionia’s final products and thus in the work field of music researchers, it becomes an extension of their competences.
The day also offers a generative AI workshop, a panel discussion, insights on public policy and on continuing education courses.
