On Friday 16th, we can find Polifonia for an open mic session at Lounge+D, the networking space of Sónar+D. At Sónar+D 2023 the audience can see, hear, touch and discuss how AI is being used for musical and audiovisual production, whilst also addressing the possible ethical, industrial and social consequences of its use. This open mic session features three projects, selected via the Sónar+D Open Call, that show how AI is impacting the world of music. Max Tiel, from Polifonia’s consortiumpartner Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision, will elaborate on how Polifonia aims to bring historical musical archives to life with use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
