Polifonia is known for its strong links with academia and is pleased to present some highlights in its involvement in research and associated conferences:
- Our project members from the Galway University published two papers on Semantic Web Technologies for Irish Traditional Music Patterns and Ensemble Machine Learning for Root Note Prediction: ‘Patterns2KG: JAMS Pipeline for Modeling Music Patterns’ and ‘Ensemble Machine Learning Models for Root Note Detection in Irish Instrumental Dance Music’
- The team behind the MEETUPS pilot has contributed with ‘Musical Meetups Knowledge Graph (MMKG): a collection of evidence for historical social network analysis’ which got accepted. They’re pleased to enter Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC2024) in Greece later this year.
- The team from the KNAW has entered a contribution on ‘The Polifonia Research Ecosystem: an Executable Data Management‘ to the DRAIAH Annual Event.
- The BELLS team will contribute to the 38th European Seminar in Ethnomusicology in Palermo with ‘Historical Bells Heritage between tangible and Intangible’.
- Also FACETS will be represented at the 11th International Conference on Digital Libraries for Musicology.
- The researchers working on the KG en Polifonia Web Portal hope to publish in: Umanistica Digitale, JLIS.it, NeurIPS 2024, Journal of Web Semantics, and present at the AIUCD 2024 Conference.
